Pastor Dan Amakobe
Founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Community Church, Kenya. Pastor Daniel Jeff Amakobe was saved at the age of 13 through the ministry of a missionary, Ed Rayland. He was put in a children’s home associated with the Anglican Church in Nakuru, Kenya.
The Bishop of the Anglican Church saw the potential in Daniel and by age fifteen he was travelling with Bishop on evangelistic crusades. Within a short time he was preaching and had a reputation as the youngest evangelist in that part of Africa. Since then he has been called audibly by God to bring the liberating Word of faith to the world.
Pastor Dan has preached extensively through out Kenya and some of the adjoining countries including Botswana, The Congo, Niger, Somalia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and so Africa. He has also ministered in England, Australia and the United States. He has been interviewed on TBN and has been aired on radio and cable television in the Portland, Oregon area. He is committed to teaching and discipling God’s people! Over 40 churches have been planted by Pastor Dan in many diverse places thoughout Kenya. The branches are in Nakuru, Eldoret, Bungoma, Kakamega, Nairobe, as well as in many other cities, towns and Providences. He took theology at International Bible Institute of London in the UK and graduated with a higher Diploma in Christian Ministries in 1997-1999. He has taken Evangelism training in St. Austell Cornwall at Good News Crusade. He worked in the UK as a gospel minister in Camborne and Truro. He then went back to Kenya and did evangelism with churches in different cities in Kenya and Uganda.
In 2001 Pastor Dan had a dream about the USA. God asked him to warn America about a coming attack. After the attack on September 11th later that year, Dan was asked to go to the United States and was part of an interview on the TBN World Wide Network. Later on this trip he met Pastor Carol Hampsch, the President of World of Life Community Church in Newman Lake, Idaho where Dan currently enjoys working under his counsel and leadership. Pastor Dan officially started Word of Life Community Church Kenya on January 5th 2003. He has planted on average six new churches per year since then, often taking dominion from areas influenced by the occult, and helping to provide change to communities experiencing great human hardships.
Pastor Dan is known and well respected by hundreds of Kenyan Pastors and Civic Leaders throughout the Country of Kenya. To his friends he is known to posses wisdom beyond his years, a great sense of humor, and a large gift of faith. He is happily married to his wife Maureen Daniel Amakobe, who is also a Pastor in the church. Dan and Maureen have two daughters. They reside in Sec 58, Nakuru, Kenya, East Africa.
